How to Volunteer: Volunteering with Live 2 Serve is very easy: simply show up. It is not necessary or required to sign up ahead of time. We are located at the Baranco-Clark YMCA. One of the points of Live 2 Serve is to make it easy for LSU students and people of Baton Rouge to serve their community and spread the love of the Lord within the city.

Making a Financial Donation to Live 2 Serve
All of Live 2 Serve's programs require funding. Live 2 Serve is a Louisiana non-profit, and an IRS 501c3 charity. This means that all donations made to Live 2 Serve can be given as a tax break.
Live 2 Serve has been able to do amazing things over the years thanks to our amazing donors. Every time you donate to Live 2 Serve, you are creating the opportunity for something wonderful to happen and a life to be changed, whether it be a college volunteer's or a child living in poverty. Our programs cannot happen without the opportunity to host them for the community and the donation you give goes to creating those opportunities. God works through these programs and allows for miracles to happen and he does it through our volunteers and the children we see. Help us create those miracles and donate to our cause.
What does my donated dollar go to?
Building Expenses: The lights, office supplies, computers, and air conditioning cost money and since almost all of our programs are held at the YMCA we must keep up the building. Thankfully Live 2 Serve shares a building with Baton Rouge’s oldest YMCA Baranco Clark. This building is used as our headquarters and a place where children and college students can come and serve, learn, and grow in their faith.
Outreaching: Live 2 Serve reached over 40,000 people in 2014 some of which are over 250 children on a weekly basis, and 200 college. Live 2 Serve also provides 4 sports teams, 6 camps, over 48 Live 2 Plays, over 50 teenage boy Bible studies, and Baton Rouge's largest Christian Back-to-School drive and Christmas Giveaway. All of these outreaches cost money, so your donation will go to helping these programs happen.
Talent: Live 2 Serve only looks for the best staff members. These staff members will not only lead the LSU students, but also the children living in poverty. Live 2 Serve does pay its staff, so that way they will not have to worry about working other jobs so they can focus solely on Live 2 Serve and reaching both LSU and Baton Rouge area students.
Expansion: Live 2 Serve hopes to grow and become a national standard for college students and how they should reach out to those in poverty. We hope to continue growing to many locations here in Baton Rouge, while also giving our model of student service to other college cities across America.
Every donated dollar can be written as a tax write off with the IRS. Please consider making a donation to Live 2 Serve.
Sports Equipment: Live 2 Serve's biggest outreach is sports: we use sports to connect with children and teenagers in the community. Our sports equipment is used 40 hours a week during the school year and 84 hours a week during the summer, which means we go through a lot during a year. We rely only on donated equipment, so please consider donating slightly used or new sports equipment.
Christmas Giveaway: During the months before Christmas, Live 2 Serve accepts donations of toys and children's clothes. Donations will be accepted starting in October until the last day before the giveaway. We will hand these out at our Christmas Giveaway.
